Never spend a dollar on exercise again!

Has there ever been a better time to exercise from home? COVID is starting to finally be in the rear view mirror and yes I get that people want to be out and about but still. We have just proven that working out from home can be done in an effective manner. To be honest, I was on that bandwagon well before COVID and now its time to expose the free options!

The time has arrived that I have opened up my collection of workout vidoes for free. When I started developing the Fitness Made Easy platform, it was to…

No equipment needed my friends!

Wikipedia defines the word “calisthenics” this way:

Calisthenics or Callisthenics is a form of strength training consisting of a variety of movements that exercise large muscle groups, such as running, standing, grasping, pushing, etc. These exercises are often performed rhythmically and with minimal equipment, as bodyweight exercises.

Basically, busting your ass without equipment is how you can translate that. To be honest, once I started doing calisthenics, I gained a whole new appreciation for how awesome working out with no equipment can be.

Here are 9 ways I use calisthenics to my advantage with a bonus 15-minute video at the…

Is there such a thing as simple fitness? Is that a concept you have wondered about before? Are we preconditioned as humans to think that fitness and simple can’t be in the same sentence? Combining the two would mean that the world would be explode right?

According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of Easy is : causing or involving little difficulty or discomfort

Are you ready to have the greatest day of your life? A day where you are going to be let in on secret that others are simply unaware of? A day when..okay you get the point. I do have a secret for you though and it involves EASY and FITNESS and I have named it Fitness Made Easy!

That time I had a meltdown at Dunkin Donuts and got help.

When I was growing up in the 1980’s I don’t recall there being a lot of talk around anxiety. I don’t have many talents but one that does seem to pop up when it need it is my memory, and I don’t recall there being a lot of dicussion around the concept of anxiety. It is probably safe to say that at that time, getting treated for anxiety made you a wack job.

Which begs the question, how many poor fuckers were walking around in complete mental terror until Prozac started showing up on commercials? Let me be clear though…

Remove the barriers and embrace the consistency!

There is nothing harder then pushing yourself to the gym each week. In my opinion, fitness is 90% mental and 10% physical. When people ask me my advice on how they can motivate themselves to the gym, I say you have to train your mind to fight through the pain. The body just follows along and does what you tell it to.

How you train your mind boils down to what your fitness goals are. If you are training for a marathon you aren’t reading this blog because self-motivation is the last thing you need help with. If you are…

Biceps, triceps, chest, back, shoulders, legs, abs and cardio oh my!

I must confess that I have very few talents but one thing that I feel I can do above average is create workout plans for people to follow, enjoy and most importantly benefit from. Having a plan means you have a head start on attaining your goals. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to achieve a fitness goal or 10 each year?

With over 25 years of exercising experience, I have tried a lot of different combinations in the gym. More recently I am building workout plans that specifically use resistance bands that you can do from home. …

Our exercise time is here and FREE!

All of the following things happened in what year? 1994, 1995 or was it 1996?

1. I graduated from high school (barely)

2. I had a walkman tape player (Sony yellow)

3. My car caught on fire in my driveway (piece of shit)

If you guessed 1994 you were right and if you are classified as Generation X because you were born between 1965 and 1979 you will remember that phrase “All of the following happened in this year”? It was actually on the original “Dateline” with Stone Philips and Jane Pauley before it turned into another weekly murder investigation…

After 25 years of doing battle, here is what works for me!

Is there a worse feeling on planet earth than not being able to go to the bathroom? I’m not talking about being on a plane with the seatbelt light turned on while you have to go number 1. I am talking about sitting here writing this blog and wishing I could go number 2. Yes really, I am seriously constipated myself and I figured what better time than now to write about it.

You know the feeling right? You just sit or stand in misery hoping that a bowel movement is in your near future. If you’re wondering how I…

The door anchor kick back to the rescue!

How familiar are you with the tricep muscles? I am not doctor nor have I studied the human body at great length, but over the years I have come to find that they are typically not given their due. It isn’t because they are hard to workout, rather I think it may be because they are somewhat hidden. Perhaps we just take them for granted and no matter what the answer is, they deserve their due.

When we associate someone with killer arms, it usually has to do with their biceps. Perhaps we are genetically created to focus on the…
